9/21/19 Rebel Scores

This past Saturday may have been rainy for most games but that did not stop our Rebels from taking the field. Thank you to everyone that came out to Horlick H.S. for Rebel Family Day to support the players. Review the scores below from 9/21/19.

1st & 2nd Grade Rebels: 31 - Waterford: 0
The first game at Horlick was between 2 teams that were undefeated going into Saturday's matchup. Coach Anton and his Rebels ran hard, blocked hard and their defense hit hard while holding the team to no points scored. Great victory for this team. They may still see this team again in the championships if they both continue playing like they have leading up to this past Saturday.

3rd & 4th Grade Rebels Grey (Coach Tanner): 28 - Union Grove: 36
Coach Tanner definitely has this team in the right direction. Scoring 28 points was a very big leap for this team. They will work on defense this week to try and get their first victory.

3rd & 4th grade Rebels Scarlet (Coach Anzalone): 33 - Bayview: 6
Coach Tony Anzalone had a lot of fun out their with his team. A lot of key blocks and a great job by the defense to come out on top. This team is doing extremely well and the whole team is filled with all but (2) 3rd Graders. They never back down from a challenge.

5th Grade Rebel Grey (Coach Bell): 20- Stateline Comets: 0
This game is the only game that got postponed. The 5th grade Rebels Grey team was sent home after halftime due to lighting and thunder. They will return to Spring Grove, IL to finish their game on 9/24/19 at 7:30 P.M.

5th Grade Rebels Scarlet (Coach Kasabian): 15 - Union grove: 20
Close but no cigar. Coach Kasabian could not catch a break Saturday out in Union Grove. The team played well but unfortunately came short.

6th Grade Rebels Grey (Coach Atkinson): 7 - Kenosha Knights: 35
This game was exciting to watch at first. #57 was all over the field on defense making plays. The game eventually got away from them when 4 key players ended up sidelined with injuries. They look forward to their matchup with St. Cats coming up.

6th Grade Rebels Scarlet (Coaches Darge & Cupertino): 34 - Christian Life Eagles: 7
This rainy day did not stop this 6th grade team from trying to throw the ball. CLS started the game with a return all the way down to the 2 yard line which a few plays later resulted in a touchdown. The defense once again played lights out after this and held them to that only score. Although they threw the ball a lot more than often, the offensive line did a good job of helping the backs get into the endzone for a 34-7 victory at home.

7th Grade Rebels: 0 - AYFA Angels (White): 34
Another tough matchup for our 7th graders. For a lot of the 7th graders that are new to the Rebels team, this was the first time they played against the St. Cats program. This was a tough loss but the team will continue to work to get better each week.

8th Grade Rebels: 6 - Westosha Falcons:  23
This game was a fun one to watch until the injuries started piling up. Coach Mike Lynch and his Rebels were fighting hard in this game but the game ended early due to some injuries that kept some players off the field. They look to bounce back when their players are healthy again.
